On August 7th, "Assassination" actor Lee Jung-jae's free hug event took place in CinePark hall of Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul to celebrate its surpassing 8.15 million viewers.

Meanwhile, according to Korea Film Council's integrated electronic system of movie tickets, movie "Assassination" has surpassed 7,893,614 viewers by bringing 243,124 to theaters on August 6th.
"Assassination" depicts the crossing paths and unpredictable fates by National Independence Army and members of Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, set in Shanghai and Gyeongseong (Seoul) in 1933, as they carry out the operation to assassinate pro-Japanese collaborators.
