According to the integrated computer network for movie tickets by Korea Film Council on May 1st, "Coin Locker Girl" ranked second at box office on April 30, the second day from its release date, luring 88,317 viewers to the theater. It is the first place among Korean movies with 185,547 accumulated viewers.
Movie "Coin Locker Girl" depicts the surviving rules by the two women, who have been living in their own ways in China Town, where they say only useful ones survive. The movie has been invited to the Critics Week during Cannes Film Festival this year.
"Coin Locker Girl" brought 90,880 viewers to the theater on the first day and ranked top among the movies released during the same period and among Korean movies. It has stayed at the first place among Korean movies for two days in a row. The prospect is looking great.
In particular, "Coin Locker Girl" with the restricted rating recorded the better number than 'Kingsman: The Secret Service', which scored an exceptional figure for teenager restricted movies.
