'President's Barber' Doubly Crowned in Tokyo Film Fest

Lim Chan-sang's "President's Barber" won Best Director and the Audience Award at the 2004 Tokyo International Film Festival, which concluded Sunday.
Lim's debut piece, the film is a comedic drama of a common barber who later becomes The President's Barber and faces a lot of things after then. This year's TIFF, the 17th such event, is the most prestigious film festival in Japan, correlating with Korea's Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF).
Famous directors like Yamada Yoji and Lee Chang-dong participated as jurists. "Whisky" of Uruguay grabbed the Tokyo Grand Prix and "Kekexili: Mountain Patrol" by Taiwan-born director Lu Chuan won the Special Jury Prize.
