'Sonata' Star to Promote Sonata in Japan

Actor Bae Yong-joon is the new face of Hyundai Motor Company's new Sonata campaign in Japan.
The television commercial will feature Bae, who, since the broadcast of the soap opera "Winter Sonata", has become a superstar in the neighboring country, as he drives Hyundai's four door sedan through a scenic landscape reminiscent of the drama.
The ad will be shot later this month and hit airwaves next month. The Sonata will be put out on the Japanese market in September.
