'The Mayor' has begun filming: Choi Min-sik to play a politician role for the first time

Movie "The Mayor" has begun filming in April. The highly anticipated movie, "The Mayor", in which Choi Min-sik will play a politician for the first time, has begun filming on April 28th.

"The Mayor" depicts the story about a fictitious political figure, Byeon Jong-goo, who runs to be elected as the mayor of Seoul for the third time. Choi Min-sik will play a present mayor of Seoul, an experienced veteran politician who does not mind going through fire and water.

How Choi Min-sik will present his character in his own unique style this time is drawing much attention.

Ra Mi-ran will play Yang Jin-joo, the number two runner for the Seoul mayoral election competing with Choi Min-sik. Lee Ki-hong will play Yang Jin-joo's son, who returned to Korea after studying abroad to help his mother running the campaign.
