1st Generation Theater Actress Yoon Seok-hwa's Funeral Set Up

A funeral altar has been set up for the late Yoon Seok-hwa, a first-generation theater actress.

According to officials on the 19th, the memorial altar will be arranged in Special Room No. 1 at the funeral hall of Yonsei University Severance Hospital in Sinchon.
The bereaved family will begin receiving mourners from 3 PM that day, and in accordance with the wishes of the deceased and her family, condolence money will be respectfully declined.
The funeral procession is scheduled for 9 AM on the 21st, and the burial site will be Honor Stone at Yongin Park.
Earlier, the Korean Theater Actors Association announced that Yoon Seok-hwa passed away at around 9:50 AM that morning at the hospital where she had been receiving treatment for a brain tumor, with her family by her side.
Yoon Seok-hwa was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022 and underwent surgery in October of the same year. After publicly revealing her illness, she made a brief, approximately five-minute guest appearance in the play "Toccata" the following year, which became her final stage performance.
Born in Seoul in 1956, Yoon Seok-hwa made her debut in 1975 with the play "Sweet Taste of Honey". She went on to establish herself as one of the leading figures in Korean theater, appearing in numerous productions including "Agnes of God", "Hamlet", "A Letter to My Daughter", and "Psyche".
