Yang wrote on YG's official website that the girls' first studio release titled "To Anyone" will hit stores on September 9, featuring a total of 12 songs including six new tracks, four previously releases and two bonus tunes.

Yang then said YG will carry out unique promotion of the album, where three songs, all of which will be title tracks, will be given equal weight and be promoted simultaneously.

He explained that he understands the difficulties that will follow their first-ever attempt but made the decision as a way of informing the public of 2NE1's various styles of music rather than topping music charts.

He went onto state that one of the title tracks will be produced in English and be released both locally and internationally.

The four-member girl group first made an appearance in the mobile phone commercial for LG alongside labelmates Big Bang. They released their debut single "Fire" in May 2009 and since produced other hit songs such as "I Don't Care" and "Try to Follow Me".
