On January 8th, a representative from Ahn Hee-yeon's agency, Sublime, told Xportsnews, "Ahn Hee-yeon is currently reviewing an offer to appear in KBS2's weekend drama "Love Is Coming"".
Ahn Hee-yeon has reportedly been offered the lead role of Han Gyoo-rim in KBS2's upcoming weekend series "Love Is Coming".
The drama is written by acclaimed screenwriter Lee Kyeong-hee, known for "Sorry, I Love You" and "Uncontrollably Fond", and directed by PD Hong Seok-goo.
Ahn Hee-yeon has not appeared in a drama since Disney+'s "Call It Love" in 2023. Expectations are growing over whether she will make her return to the small screen through her first-ever KBS weekend drama, marking her comeback after three years.
Meanwhile, Ahn Hee-yeon has been publicly dating psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong, who is ten years her senior. The couple announced plans to marry in September 2024, but the wedding was postponed indefinitely following a fatal medical accident involving a patient at a psychiatric hospital where Yang Jae-woong serves as director.
In December, the hospital was additionally handed a three-month suspension of operations by health authorities in connection with the incident.
Amid these circumstances, Ahn Hee-yeon appeared on MBN's "Oh Eun-young Stay" last July, where she cautiously spoke about her marriage plans, saying, "Recently, I've often felt that life isn't going the way I want it to".
