On the 10th, OTT platform Disney Plus will unveil its casting lineup of "Gold Land" on the same day and release new works exclusively next year. "Gold Land" depicts the struggle of Hee-joo (Park Bo-young), who accidentally takes over the gold bullion of a smuggling organization, becoming entangled in the desire to monopolize the gold amid the chaos of greed and betrayal among the various characters surrounding i#.
"I'm looking forward to challenging a new genre", Park Bo-young said of her appearance in "Gold Land". "It will be attractive to see Hee-joo, who seemed not interested in gold bars, changing due to human nature and desire".
In the drama, Park Bo-young will play the role of Kim Hee-joo, an international airport security search agent, to lead the drama's center stage and make an intense transformation. Kim Sung-cheol will play Jang Wook, a low-ranking member of the loan company. Lee Hyun-wook-I will play Lee Do-kyeong, an airline bookkeeper and Hee-joo's lover, while Kim Hee-won will play Kim Jin-man, a homicide detective at the Jeongsan Police Station. Moon Jeong-hee will play the role of Yeo Seon-ok, Hee-joo's mother, and Lee Kwang-soo will play the role of director Park, who manages the subordinate organization of Hotel Casino Gold Land.
Director Kim Seong-hoon-II, who produced the films "Confidential Assignment" and "Rampant" and writer Hwang Jo-yoon, who wrote "Memoir of a Murderer", "Masquerade" and "Oldboy", are raising expectations for the release of the new work. The specific release date of "Gold Land" is undecided.
