Girl band BLACKPINK have become the female artists with the most YouTube subscribers in the world, surpassing even social-media maven Taylor Swift.

According to the group's agency YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's YouTube channel topped 42.3 million subscribers on July 24, surging past Ariana Grande's 42.2 million and Taylor Swift's 38.5 million.

They added about 5 million more subscribers since the release of their latest single "How You Like That" on June 26.

The single has been breaking YouTube records and topping charts around the world.

BLACKPINK are now among YouTube's top five most subscribed-to musicians in the world along with Justin Bieber, DJ Marshmello, Ed Sheeran and Eminem.
