It is the highest number of subscribers for any K-pop act. The group added 3 million new subscribers in less than a week after releasing their new single "How You Like That" on June 26.
The number of subscribers on YouTube is one of the indicators of an artist's global popularity and presence, and BLACKPINK have set unparalleled records on the video-sharing website.
The music video for "How You Like That" attracted 86.3 million views on YouTube on the first day of its release, setting a Guinness Record for the most-viewed video within 24 hours.
On Monday, the music video for "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du", the lead track of BLACKPINK 's first mini album "Square up" released in 2018, surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube, a first for a K-pop group.
They have six music videos with over 500 million views, including "Boombayah" (800 million), "Kill This Love" (800 million), "As If It's Your Last" (700 million), "Playing with Fire" (500 million) and "Whistle" (500 million). They have 19 videos with over 100 million views.
