Cha Jun-hwan to Return to Acting? Considering "Palace Land"

Cha Jun-hwan is reportedly considering a return to acting.

According to his agency, fantagio, on June 7th, Cha Jun-hwan has received an offer to appear in the upcoming tvN sitcom "Palace Land" and is positively reviewing the proposal.

"Palace Land" is a sitcom that follows the daily lives of amusement park employees who live together in a dormitory while working part-time at the park. Cha Jun-hwan is said to have been offered the role of Seong Dae-han.

Before establishing himself as a figure skater, Cha Jun-hwan worked as a child actor. He appeared in dramas such as "Miracle" (2006), "When It's at Night" (2008), and "Iljimae Returns - Moon River" (2009).

Cha Jun-hwan is widely regarded as one of South Korea's most accomplished male figure skaters. Born in 2001, he competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics at the age of 17. He finished fifth at the 2022 Winter Olympics and achieved a personal-best fourth-place finish at the 2026 Winter Olympics. He also won a gold medal at the 2025 Asian Winter Games.

In April, Cha Jun-hwan signed an exclusive contract with fantagio, signaling plans to expand his activities beyond figure skating.
