On the 7th, his agency HB Entertainment said, "Cho Byeong-kyu donated 25 million won, the entire proceeds of the play " Island", which ended in July, to Habitat Korea".
The donation will be used to improve the living environment of families of descendants of independence fighters in poor residential conditions.
Cho Byeong-kyu reportedly planned this performance to help descendants of independence fighters and marginalized neighbors.
During the preparation of the play, he informed his fans in advance of his intention to donate the entire proceeds of the ticket through social media, and the performance was well received by selling out all seats in the previous round.
In particular, in this performance, Cho Byeong-kyu took the stage in the form of a two-person drama with actor Yoo In-soo, who worked with him in the tvN drama "The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch" which aired last year.
Habitat Korea said, "We deeply appreciate Cho Byeong-kyu's good influence. The donations will be used transparently to improve the living environment of families of descendants of independence fighters".
In July, Cho Byeong-kyu was appointed as an ambassador for the "Just Miracle" campaign, a project to spread the culture of donating the fruit of love, and has been a good influence.
The donation of descendants of independence fighters also adds more meaning to Cho Byeong-kyu's continued sharing activities.
In addition, Cho Byeong-kyu recently released his first single, "Don't Cry", drawing attention by showing his hidden singing skills.
