In an interview released on Tuesday, when asked what she prepared while playing the role of Do Da-hae in JTBC's upcoming drama "The Atypical Family", she said, "Before the drama started, the director asked me to act what Chun Woo-hee would look like in a social relationship. Even though that was difficult, I wanted to achieve it. I also had high expectations to act with Go Doo-shim. For the past few years, I have worked as if I had changed my soul when I took charge of the drama. For the first time in this drama, I tried to take more time with myself defenseless".
When asked to give a hint about the mysterious character in the Netflix series "The 8 Show", which will be released this year, she replied, "I can't feel any affection for the character. I've heard people say that Chun Woo-hee is good at acting out the crazies. I thought it would be refreshing to play a character that I can't understand at all. I chose a character with the opposite approach".
Regarding the 20th anniversary of her debut, she said, "Number is not that important but I am proud of myself. This ambivalence seems to give me a sense of balance to continue my work. If I was biased to one side, I would either been lazy or worked too hard or in pain", she said, expressing her affection for acting.
Meanwhile, Chun Woo-hee's pictorials and interviews can be found through the April issue of Harper's Bazaar and its website.
