He was apparently inspired by the misfortune that befell Im Soo-jung in Japan. The world's first K1 female fighter, Im appeared on a comedy show on Japan's TBS in July 2011, where she was asked to spar with three male Japanese comedians and got so seriously hurt that she had to get treatment for eight weeks.
The incident sparked outrage here as one of the men was over 30 kg heavier than Im and a former K1 player.
At the time, Yoon waged a signature campaign to call for an official apology from the TV station. In only three days, he gathered 10,000 signatures.
