Comedian Yoo Jae-suk Donates to Help the Needy Ahead of Winter Months

Comedian Yoo Jae-suk has donated W50 million worth of coal briquettes to a charity for people in need as the cold winter season is just around the corner (US$1=W1,127).

"Yoo donated W50 million worth of briquettes", the charity said Tuesday. "He has been donating twice a year for the last six years to help people who can't afford heating bills", it added.

His donation began in 2013 when he delivered briquettes to those who need them to keep themselves warm during the winter months as part of the MBC entertainment program "Infinite Challenge".

The charity said, "Yoo has donated a total of W380 million worth of briquettes over six years. They were distributed to some 4,427 households".
