Lee Junho takes on the role of Seo Poong, who falls from a hotel star chef to a ruined chef of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Jang Hyuk is Doo Chil-sung, the owner of this restaurant who used to be a legend. Jung Ryeo-won is Dan Sae-woo from a rich family that goes bankrupt overnight.

"Wok of Love" is written by Seo Sook-hyang who also wrote dramas "Pasta", "Miss Korea", "Don't Dare to Dream" and more. "Wok of Love" is expected to be the next "Pasta".

Lee Junho thinks "Wok of Love" will be newer because people know more about chefs and what they do compared to the time when "Pasta" was broadcast. Jung Ryeo-won explained she didn't want to leave distinctions between the two dramas and "Wok of Love" was just an extended version of "Pasta".
