On June 10th, a representative from Park Yoon-ho-I's agency, INIT Entertainment, told Xportsnews that he is 'positively considering' an offer to appear in the upcoming drama "Promoter".
"Promoter" is a human sports drama that tells the story of the world's first female boxing promoter and a hardworking boxer. The series is expected to depict the growth, challenges, and conflicts faced by its characters as they pursue a world championship title.
Actress Lee Hanee has already been confirmed to play the real-life figure Sim Yeong-ja, while Park Yoon-ho-I has reportedly been offered the role of legendary WBC light flyweight boxer Chang Jung-koo.
The role had previously drawn attention when reports emerged that Park Jihoon, who recently achieved blockbuster success with "The King's Warden", was considering the part. However, he ultimately declined the offer.
Park Yoon-ho-I made his acting debut in 2023 through the drama "Night Has Come". He later gained recognition through appearances in "Study Group", "Our Unwritten Seoul", and "Trigger".
He is currently set to take on his first leading role in the upcoming Tving original series "Proxy Exam", which is scheduled for release soon.
