Fans of Singer Lim Young-woong Donate W900 Million to Aid Flood Victims

Fans of singer Lim Young-woong have raised about W900 million to help flood victims (US$1=W1,188).

His fan club on Monday said it donated W896.68 million to a charity and posted a certificate of donation on its official website.

Lim became a star overnight after winning TV Chosun's hit audition program "Mr. Trot" early this year.

The donation will be used to assist relief efforts for flood victims during the recent record-breaking monsoon season.

The charity expressed its gratitude in a letter saying, "We are deeply touched by this act of love by the fans".
