Gay Director to Announce Wedding Plans

Director Kim-Jho Gwang-soo, who came out in 2006, will tie the knot with his boyfriend, who is 19 years his junior.

Rainbow Factory, his production company, said Monday that Kim will reveal his wedding plans at a press conference at a theater in Sadang-dong, Seoul, on Wednesday. Kim's boyfriend, a co-president of the company, is due to make his first public appearance at the conference.

"Same-sex marriages are not recognized under current Korean law, so Kim will also talk about his plans regarding marriage registration and children", the company added.

During a press screening last summer of "Two Weddings and a Funeral", Kim's movie about homosexuality, he said he would marry [his boyfriend] if both families consented.
