According to SBS on the 23rd, Go Hyun-jung and Jang Dong-yoon have confirmed their appearance in the new drama "The Mantis: Original Sin" scheduled to air next year.

The film is a crime thriller remade from a French drama of the same name. It tells the story of the police son of a female serial killer nicknamed "The Mantis: Original Sin" who brutally killed five men 20 years ago, cooperating with his mother, whom he has hated for all his life, to catch the killer who copied the crime.

In the drama, Go Hyun-jung plays the role of Jeong I-sin. She portrays a serial killer who brutally killed five men 20 years ago. With her unique aura and meticulous acting, she is expected to show the essence of high-density crime thriller.

Jang Dong-yoon is Go Hyun-jung's son and takes on the role of police Cha Soo-yeol, who jumps in to solve the murder case of imitating mantis. Expectations are high on how the two actors, Go Hyun-jung and Jang Dong-yoon, will complete the unconventional subject of a collaborative investigation between a serial killer mother and a police son.

The drama is directed by Byun Young-joo, who proved his sensuous directing skills with the films "Flying Boys" and "Helpless".
