Still cuts of Han Ye-ri (Jo Jeong-hyeon) in this new tvN drama were released.
"Hometown" is a mystery thriller that explores the secrets of the case against Choi Hyeong-in (Yoo Jae-myung), a detective chasing a bizarre murder case in a small town, and Jo Jeong-hyeon (Han Ye-ri), who has to find her missing nephew.
Han Ye-ri plays Jo Jeong-hyeon, who endures the social stigma of being from a family of terrorists in the drama. Ironically, Jo Jeong-hyeon, whose life is collapsed by a crime committed by her brother Jo Kyeong-ho (Um Tae-goo), gets comfort from his daughter and her niece Jo Jae-yeong (Lee Re), but begins to get entangled in mysterious cases after her niece disappears.
The released stills shows Han Ye-ri, who is completely permeated into Jo Jeong-hyeon. Jo Jeong-hyeon's livelihood and positive aspects are shown in the delivery of her subtle smiley face and scooter. On the other hand, Jo Jeong-hyeon's wounds behind her smile are revealed in the still that follows. Jo Jeong-hyeon sits in front of the store side by side of her mother Kim Kyeong-sook (Park Mi-hyun), and her slump shoulders show that she's been enduring the pressure of life and the cold gazes from around her. This raises questions about what mysterious events Jo Jeong-hyeon will be involved in with her niece's disappearance.
The production team of "Hometown" said, "The details of Han Ye-ri's acting is surprising", adding, "Jo Jeong-hyeon's character is very three-dimensional. Han Ye-ri is building up her character's narrative with her delicate and dense emotional performance as well as her passionate performance. "Please look forward to "Hometown" where her passionate performance will shine".
tvN's "Hometown" is scheduled to premiere in September 2021.
