[HanCinema's News] Ahn Jae-hyun's Lawyer Is a Familiar Face

In contrast to the quick divorce earlier this year between Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, which was conducted via largely anonymous lawyers, Ahn Jae-hyun's lawyer for his divorce with Koo Hye-sun is a known personality. Ahn Jae-hyun's lawyer, Bang Jung-hyun, made appearances on television earlier this year to discuss the Burning Sun case.

During that time back in May there were rumors that Ahn Jae-hyun had been involved in making illegal videos and had participated in Jung Joon-young's chat rooms. Having seen Bang Jung-hyun on television, Ahn Jae-hyun sought him out specifically to help clear up the rumors.
Bang Jung-hyun has been open about all of this. He said that he had looked over the relevant files and found a passage dated July 19th 2016 where Jung Joon-young and three others specifically mention not having seen Ahn Jae-hyun in over a year. Release of this information worked to quell rumors against Ahn Jae-hyun around this time.
That Ahn Jae-hyun has again retained Bang Jung-hyun's services suggests that the main motive may be more about clearing Ahn Jae-hyun's name than necessarily expecting a divorce. Bang Jung-hyun has already made a point of moving strongly against allegations that Ahn Jae-hyun has a girlfriend and has promised to provide proof to the contrary backing up Ahn Jae-hyun's denials in court.
