[HanCinema's News] "Alchemy of Souls" Tops CPI

On July 4th CJ ENM released the latest results of the Content Power Index, which tracks the performances of South Korean television programs across a wide variety of metrics. According to these figures, the fantasy historical drama "Alchemy of Souls" is the most popular television show in the country, albeit by a small margin. "Alchemy of Souls" had 286.3 points, enough to improve its third place position last week to a first place position in the most recent one.

The medical/legal hybrid drama "Doctor Lawyer" was second place with 275.7 points. The previous week's winner, the legal romance thriller drama "Why Her?" was third place with 274.4 points, and the high society thriller "Eve" was in fourth place with 257.5 points. No other scripted drama appeared in the combined top ten. The data was collected in the fourth week of June, defined as June 20th to June 26th.
