[HanCinema's News] Baek Ji-hye Makes Unannounced Appearance in "Parole Examiner Lee"

This past December 9th, viewers reacted positively to a storyline in "Parole Examiner Lee" about the backstory of Baek Ji-won's character Hwa-ran. As a child, she suffered from abuse at the hands of her father. The flashback scenes were prompted by her interviewing Eun-ji, who had given birth to a daughter while in prison for voice phishing. Hearing Eun-ji's story reminded Hwa-ran of her own, as she pondered the younger woman's prospects for parole.

One mystery for viewers, however, was who played Hwa-ran as a teeanger, as this information had not been previously announced. The actress in question is Baek Ji-hye, who is perhaps best known for her supporting role in "Doona!" last year. The short but memorable appearance has spurred interest in future work for the actress, who is next slated to appear in the teen crime film "Allegiance" in a leading role. "Parole Examiner Lee" had ratings of 4.838% in its eighth episode on December 10th.
