[HanCinema's News] "Business Proposal" Webtoon Leads Southeast Asian Markets

According to figures released by Kakao Entertainment on April 8th, the original "Business Proposal" webtoon has seen a surge in its popularity across southeast Asia. The "Business Proposal" webtoon has been confirmed as the most popular webtoon in terms of earned revenue and pageviews for all of March in Taiwan and Thailand. Additionally, the Kakao distribution platforms for India and Indonesia have also shown the "Business Proposal" webtoon leading in terms of revenue and pageviews.

The biggest spikes in popularity for the "Business Proposal" webtoon in all of these regions was in the time period right before the premiere of a new episode, at which point traffic would boost by as much as twentyfold. The figures parallel the extraordinary popularity the "Business Proposal" television drama has had in these regions. According to the data aggregator Flix Patrol, "Business Proposal" is still the most popular Netflix show in Indonesia, Taiwan, and Thailand.
In India "Business Proposal" has dropped to second place as of April 8th. But the show still counts a large number of first place rankings toward an overall global ranking of third place. These include Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Nigeria, Oman, the Phillipines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. "Business Proposal" aired its final episode, the twelfth, on April 5th with ratings of 11.4%.
