[HanCinema's News] "Cheer Up" on Break Again This Week

SBS has once again decided not to air a new episode of "Cheer Up" for the second straight week. Last week the breaking news story about the Itaewon Halloween Disaster pushed "Cheer Up" off the air. But this week, thankfully, a more mundane reason explains the preemption. November 7th saw the fifth game of the Korean Series, which decides the winner of the KBO League. The ninth episode of "Cheer Up" will still air on November 8th.

"Cheer Up" is a romantic youth drama set at a cheer squad in a university setting. The drama has attracted particular interest for the chemistry between its lead actors, Han Ji-hyun and Bae In-hyuk, who have youthful and cute chemistry even as the story moves into melodrama and mystery. "Cheer Up" has had relatively low ratings, ranking only 2.8% in its last episode, although it has seen significant interest from viewers internationally, particularly in China.
