The sixth episode of "Twenty Five Twenty One" which aired on February 27th had a special guest in the form of Choi Tae-joon, who played the role of Hee-do's boyfriend Ho-jin, another fencer on the nation team. "Twenty Five Twenty One" deals with the relationship between Hee-do, played by Kim Tae-ri, and I-jin, played by Nam Joo-hyuk. They first meet in 1998 in the wake of the IMF crisis, Hee-do still a high school student with I-jin four years older. The story deals with their relationship over time.

The initial age gap makes a relationship between the two inappropriate. So it's no surprise that Hee-do has another boyfriend before ever getting together with I-jin. The immediate context is Hee-do meeting I-jin again during the 1998 Asian Games. Subsequent conversation between the three of them over dinner reveals that Hee-do had only been dating Jo-jin for three days. Ultimately the two only end up dating for about two weeks..
Ho-jin is weirdly controlling, saying that Hee-do should not wield a knife with her delicate hands despite the fact that she's an elite fencer. Hee-do explains to I-jin that she was motivated to date Ho-jin mainly out of curiousity regarding what dating is like. Choi Tae-joon most recently appeared as the lead in the streaming drama "The Man's Voice" on Olleh TV and Seezn. He married actress Park Shin-hye, his long-term girlfriend, on January 22nd. The two are expecting their first child later this year.
