[HanCinema's News] CJ CheilJedang Announces Global "Squid Game - Season 2" Marketing Campaign

On November 14th, the South Korean food corporation CJ CheilJedang announced that it would be branding a wide variety of its products with "Squid Game - Season 2" branding. The promotional packaging will appear in fourteen markets, including Australia, Japan, South Korea, the United States, and many countries in Europe. Street food, dumplings, kimchi, seaweed snacks, and Bibigo are among the products featured in the promotion, which seeks to spotlight Korean food.

The only official release date so far for these products is November 19th in South Korea, with Bibigo spicy rice cakes and dumplings as the main confirmed products. In the American and European markets, CJ CheilJedang will use this branding to introduce its frozen kimbap product in those markets. These foods will be distributed by the major grocery store chain Kroger in the United States, and in smaller ethnic markets in Europe.
The theme of the campaign is Play Hard & Live Delicious in English, although CJ CheilJedang has not yet released English language packing for these products. "Squid Game - Season 2" is the upcoming Netflix followup to "Squid Game" which deals with an ominous competition. It will be released on the streaming platform worldwide this coming December 26th.
