[HanCinema's News] Didier Dubot Sees Boost in Earnings in the Wake of "Queen of Tears" Product Placement
By William Schwartz | Published on
The South Korean jewelry brand Didier Dubot announced double digit earnings in a recent report on August 7th, with a 16% boost in overall earnings and a 12% boost in department store sales. The news is noteworthy as jewelry sales as a whole are down in the current economy. But Didier Dubot had one unusual advantage- its investment in "Queen of Tears" earlier this year had a big pay-off, as a moissanite necklace worn by Kim Ji-won raised viewer interest in the company.

Of course, "Queen of Tears" doesn't deserve all the credit. Didier Dubot styles itself as a French inspired brand with an emphasis on romance. They've also been running aggressive promotions since March rewarding VIP members with boons for their continuing patronage. As an international brand, Didier Dubot was also well-positioned to take advantage of the success enjoyed by "Queen of Tears" worldwide- they have an English language website and offer free worldwide shipping.
