[HanCinema's News] Funeral to Be Held for Lee El's Mother

On March 10th Lee El announced on her Instagram account that her mother had died. Lee El also announced in that post that there would be a small funeral, in keeping with the current era of COVID-19 restrictions, and asking for people to pray in their hearts to express support. Little is known about Lee El's mother, and even less about how she died. Lee El herself is thirty-nine years old.

The unfortunate news comes at a busy time for Lee El's career. The spy film "Yaksha: Ruthless Operations" in which she plays a major role will release worldwide on Netflix this coming April 8th. The very next day on April 9th Lee El will appear in the television drama "My Liberation Notes" alongside Lee Min-ki and Kim Ji-won as three adult siblings. "My Liberation Notes" will be the first television drama for Lee El since "When the Devil Calls Your Name" in 2019.
