According to figures released by the Korean Film Council, "HoneySweet" has now passed the million viewer mark, although further progress is unlikely. The romantic comedy had a decent third weekend, earning 142,391 admissions, passing the million viewer mark late on Friday night. With box office totals through Monday included, "HoneySweet" now stands at 1,135,011 admissions.

"HoneySweet" had an unusual concept as far as romance goes. Its lead actors, Yoo Hae-jin and Kim Hee-sun, are 53 and 46 years old respectively, skewing older than is usual for the genre despite both of them being popular names. The break-even point for "HoneySweet" is purportedly 1.65 million viewers, and the movie has a decent chance of hitting that threshold despite strong competition, easily beating "A Man of Reason" and "Don't Buy the Seller" which were competing in a similar tier.
