[HanCinema's News] "In Our Prime" Leads for Sixth Straight Day at South Korean Box Office

According to figures released by the Korean Film Council on March 15th, the math themed pedagogical film "In Our Prime" has 260,869 admissions at the South Korean box office since its release on March 9th. "In Our Prime" has now led the South Korean box office every day since its release. What's more, "In Our Prime" has outperformed foreign films as well as domestic films.

The strong performance of "In Our Prime" is especially surprising as it has come during a spike in COVID-19 cases due to the arrival of Omicron in the country. This is counterintuitive to the common belief of COVID-19 is having a chilling effect on admissions. "In Our Prime" will face competition in its second week from the new foreign releases Moonfall and Spencer with no new domestic South Korean titles of major box office importance.
