[HanCinema's News] Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara Offered Lead Roles for "Family: The Unbreakable Bond"

According to a June 7th news report, actors Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara are the leads of choice for an upcoming drama series from famed executive producer Jang Jeong-do, who is responsible for such works as "Our Blues" and "Link: Eat, Love, Kill" in addition to the upcoming fantasy series "Alchemy of Souls" on tvN. "Family: The Unbreakable Bond" would be the first major directing credit for Jang Jeong-do. He had worked on the short dramas "Drama Stage - The History of Walking Upright" and "Mothers - 2020" as a director.

If the two actors accept, "Family: The Unbreakable Bond" will be their third collaboration. The two had previously worked together in "The Successful Story Of A Bright Girl" in 2002 and "Fated to Love You" in 2014. The two have spoken warmly of each other in previous interviews, referring to each other as being like brother and sister. Purportedly Jang Nara has already decided on taking the role and is preparing for it accordingly, with the current opinion of Jang Hyuk on the project being unknown.

Jang Hyuk is not well-disposed to make career decisions at the moment. He is currently busy with the ongoing television drama "Bloody Heart" as well as the feature film "The Killer: A Girl Who Deserves To Die" next month. Jang Nara has not appeared in a screen role since "Sell Your Haunted House" last year, athough purportedly she is currently busy with wedding preparations to a non-celebrity. As of yet, "Family: The Unbreakable Bond" has no plot details, and is not expected to be released until 2023.
