On November 3rd, the historical theater troupe drama "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" had ratings of 12.845% in its eighth episode, a performance about to be expected from the surprise hit of the season. But "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" is doing well in other metrics as well. According to the last weekly report from the OTT platform Kinolights, "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" is the most widely searched of piece between either television dramas or film.

Additionally, the Good Data Corporation has had "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" as the most widely discussed television drama on social media for the past four weeks. Lead performer Kim Tae-ri has also been the most widely discussed actress over this time. And she's followed by Shin Ye-eun in third place, Jung Eun-chae in fourth place, Woo Da-vi in sixth place, and Kim Yoon-hye in seventh place.
With three hundred million views, "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" is also outperforming the competition in terms of social media clips. Its YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Naver, and Facebook pages all contributed to this impressive engagement number. The phrase "국극" has also become quite popular on these platforms. A play on words describing theater about theater, use of the term quintupled from six hundred mentions in September to three thousand mentions in October.
