[HanCinema's News] "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born" Tops Good Data Report for Third Straight Week

The Korean content analysis firm The Good Data Corporation has released its latest list of the best performing South Korean dramas according to non standard metrics like social media engagement. For the fourth week of October, "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" was once again the most popular drama series by this metric, its third straight week in the number one position. Kim Tae-ri was also the number one performer for her third straight week.

Her co-stars Shin Ye-eun and Jung Eun-chae are also quite popular in their own right, holding the second and fourth place positions respectively. A producing director with the Good Data Corporation claims that these exceptional numbers for "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" exceed those of "Lovely Runner" and "Queen of Tears" which had previously been the best performing series for 2024. He attributed this to the stronger interest in supporting cast members.
"The Judge from Hell" was the second best performing drama this week, and lead actress Park Shin-hye was the third most popular performer. "Hellbound - Season 2" was the third best performing drama. The Netflix series had worse numbers in here than it did for its first season back in 2021, although it did have the best performance in terms of news articles.
