[HanCinema's News] Jung Da-eun Continues Transition to Mainstream Roles

As "HoneySweet" is likely to pass the 1.3 million viewer mark this weekend, attention falls to Jung Da-eun, a young actress among the middle-aged romantic comedy's supporting cast. Jung Da-eun plays the daughter of the female lead played by Kim Hee-sun, in a relatively action-centered role. The role is a strong one for the twenty-two year old actress, but by no means her first. Jung Da-eun started acting in 2014 in minor projects, only earning significant credits in 2017.

While perhaps more recognizable as a runaway high school girl in "Midnight Runners" that year, Jung Da-eun also started filming "Second Life" that year. The moody 2018 release earned Jung Da-eun a Grand Bell nomination as a girl who leaves home after provoking the suicide of a friend. Jung Da-eun earned further plaudits in "Aloners" as the second lead, a new employee at the call center where the main character works whose attempt at a positive attitude contrasts with the lead's aloofness.
Now at the age of majority, Jung Da-eun has the freedom to pursue more intensive projects more consistently. She played a princess in "Our Blooming Youth" earlier this year, and also had a major role in "Bloodhounds" on Netflix. Jung Da-eun has no confirmed upcoming projects.
