March 23rd saw the release of "Hot Blooded" at South Korean movie theaters. The 1993-era gangster drama stars Jung Woo as a low level gangster in Busan. Recently, Jung Woo gave an interview where he discussed the role. According to Jung Woo, "Hot Blooded" was a project he chose with his heart rather than his head. Jung Woo said that he thought the experience would be a worthwhile one to him as an actor.

Jung Woo was also impressed by the script, observing that the end wraps around to the flash forward seen in the beginning. Jung Woo was curious what it was that was motivating the often listless lead character. Jung Woo also referenced a specific section of dialog, where his character asks another what's worth protecting. The reply being, that at one point it seemed like there was something, but the dirty lives they've led have caused him to lose track of what it was.
Jung Woo described himself as being very impacted by this scene. His character in general is a mostly silent noir protagonist, often finding the new twists and turns in the plot to be bewildering. Jung Woo thought that the archetypal characteristics of quiet rage in crushed emotions was a very classic film design, and mentioned doing several different versions of the scene where his character's greed awakens.
Jung Woo felt bad about making his older co-stars redo that scene in the awful summer weather of the time and apologized for that. Jung Woo noted that in the midst of emotional climax, all he can do is focus more on his acting. "Hot Blooded" has earned over three hundred thousand admission to date at the South Korean box office.
