By William Schwartz | Published on
On December 31st, comedian Kim Young-chul-I posted a belated euology for actor Lee Sun-kyun on social media. Kim Young-chul-I had been on vacation and had only just recently heard the news of the actor's death. Kim Young-chul-I mainly brought up the time he met Lee Sun-kyun and his "Parasite" co-star Cho Yeo-jeong when they appeared on his radio program back in May of 2019. Kim Young-chul-I described the hour they spent recording as a very fun time, with many humorous memories.

Afterward, Kim Young-chul-I claimed that they swapped contact information, although they only ever exchanged pleasantries over various congratulatory events. However, he said that even short single-line messages from Lee Sun-kyun were filled with heart. Kim Young-chul-I also discussed "My Mister" which he had watched for the first time this year following his being indisposed for knee surgery, and stated that Lee Sun-kyun's acting and dialog in that drama series brought him to tears.
Kim Young-chul-I said that life became a drama, even in regard to a casual acquaintance the same age as himself who offered support in that capacity. Before the year ended, Kim Young-chul-I wanted to send him a farewell message, hoping that Lee Sun-kyun is able to rest in peace. Lee Sun-kyun was found dead near Waryong Park in Seoul on December 27th.
