[HanCinema's News] Lee Jung-jae Wins Best Actor at Critic's Choice Awards

On March 13th actor Lee Jung-jae won Best Actor at the Critic's Choice Awards in Los Angeles for his portrayal of an out-of-work man in the serial drama "Squid Game" on Netflix. Lee Jung-jae was one of three actors in attendance at the event, with the other two being Park Hae-soo, who played a disgraced investor, and Jung Ho-yeon, who played a North Korean defector, all set to play a dangerous game for a hefty cash prize. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk was also in attendance.

"Squid Game" was also nominated for best overall series and best foreign language series, though it only won in the latter category. The news comes on the heels of Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon each winning for best actor at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards two weeks prior. "Squid Game" premiered on Netflix this past September and has been a strong contender in the American awards circuit this year.
