The charitable movement was spurred on by the release of Lim Young-woong's single, Warmth, two weeks earlier. The lyrics of the song exhorted listeners to show a moment of bravery to give one person the warmth of a new start. Persons related to the fan club claimed that the charitable donation is intended to show that those inspired by the singer will never stop trying to provide warmth to people living in a society under difficult circumstances.
There are nine local charitable organizations in different regions of South Korea premised as Lim Young-woong fan clubs. Four of them participated in this particular donation drive. They take inspiration from his I'm Hero tour, which "IM HERO The Final" immortalizes in the form of a concert documentary. This coming May 25th and May 26th, Lim Young-woong will be performing his show IM HERO - THE STADIUM at Seoul World Cup Stadium.
