[HanCinema's News] "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area" Tops Global Netflix Leaderboard

According to figures released by Netflix, "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area" is once again the most popular non-English serial drama on the international streaming platform. The crime thriller had 49 million hours for the week of June 27th to July 3rd. This compares to 33.74 million hours the previous week, June 20th to June 26th, giving the show over 82 million viewed hours over its first two weeks. This is nearly three times as many viewed hours as the next closest show on the leaderboard.

If "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area" were included on the overall leaderboard, it would have ranked third place. Elsewhere in the non-English top ten, "Alchemy of Souls" made its debut in fifth place with 9.92 million viewed hours while "Ghost Doctor" was sixth place with 9.87 million viewed hours. "Alchemy of Souls" is a new drama, but "Ghost Doctor" aired in January and February of this year and was only recently licensed for Netflix in certain regions.
