On December 29th Netflix Korea posted a video on its YouTube channel featuring an interview with stars Choi Wooshik, Kim Da-mi and Kim Sung-cheol where the three discuss "Our Beloved Summer" which is currently appearing on the streaming service. "Our Beloved Summer" is about a teenage couple who were virally popular in clips from a TV documentary meeting again ten years later to make a new documentary.

Among the observations made is Choi Wooshik claiming that the romance distinguishes itself from others by having the backstory as an ongoing framing device. This invites the viewer to make comparisons between the teenage and adult versions of the leads, and speculate as to how and why their outlooks changed. Choi Wooshik also claimed to be similar to his character personality-wise, being introspective and thinking a lot on his own.
Elsewhere, when Kim Da-mi asked how it felt for her to play a "genius" character, she demurred. Kim Da-mi said that all of her characters have similar arcs of being hypercompetent at some aspects of their lives while lacking an appropriate personal touch. Also in reference to "The Witch : Part 1. The Subversion" Kim Da-mi said it was very easy to get along with Choi Wooshik again in "Our Beloved Summer" because they knew each other fairly well from their time working together on that 2018 film.
All three actors claimed some familiarity with wearing school uniforms for work. Kim Sung-cheol said that he often just hung out with friends when he was still an actual high school student. "Our Beloved Summer" had ratings of 4.3% in its most recent episode which aired on December 28th. As of December 30th, "Our Beloved Summer" had a worldwide FlixPatrol ranking of 11th for all television style dramas on Netflix.
