[HanCinema's News] Park So-yi Cast for "Monstrous"

On August 12th child actress Park So-yi was the latest performer to be confirmed for the upcoming drama "Monstrous" which will air on the South Korean TVING streaming platform. The news also comes with more plot details, owing to the importance of her character. "Monstrous" concerns the husband/wife archeologist team of Jeong Gi-hoon (played by Koo Kyo-hwan) and Lee Soo-jin (played by Shin Hyun-been). Park So-yi will play their daughter Ha-yeong, whose tragic death sets off the plot.

Park So-yi is best known for her recent role in the feature film "Pawn" where she played the daughter of a Chinese-Korean immigrant separated from her family and left under the charge of loan shark enforcers. Since then she has also had distinctive roles in the television dramas "She Would Never Know" and "Law School" from earlier this year. Following a signing with YG Entertainment in April, Park So-yi has also been confirmed for the upcoming drama "High Class" in September.
