[HanCinema's News] "Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist" Shows Off New Romantic Edge

On July 14th, Studio Dragon released the full trailer for "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" which will begin airing on tvN this coming August 1st. While "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" had previously been described as a historical mystery drama, the new trailer has far more of a romantic edge between its two leads, Kim Min-jae-I and Kim Hyang-gi. In the trailer (not available outside of Korea), they can be seen stumbling over each other, and the tone in general is quite cute.

The current direction of this marketing seems to suggest that "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" will feature major romantic elements alongside its central mystery. This would make the popular drama "100 Days My Prince" an obvious comparison point. The story deals with its two younger leads, alongside the dubious senior figure Ji-han, engaging in various medical misadventures. "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" has also been produced with possible future seasons in mind.
