[HanCinema's News] Press Conference Held for "Delivery Man"

On February 28th the upcoming ENA drama "Delivery Man" held a press conference. The fantasy drama merges humanist, thriller, and romance genre elements. Lead actors Yoon Chan-young and Bang Minah were in attendance, alongside their supporting co-star Kim Min-seok and director Kang Sol. Yoon Chan-young stars as a taxi driver for ghosts, who becomes entangled with an amnesiac spirit played by Bang Minah as they work to fulfill otherworldly requests.

In describing his character, Yoon Chan-young said that he is very attached to his taxi business as it is a keepsake from his mother, despite the inconveniences involved with it. Yoon Chan-young says that despite his character seeming angry at times, fundamentally there is a hope that he will be able to show off a more pleasant, warm face. Yoon Chan-young claimed that the script was quite fun when he first read, and this was why he signed up for the project.

In regard to her character, Bang Minah claimed that she is very strong and very weak, reflecting the personality of whoever she is in contact with at that time. As her heart is filled with justice, it is implied that this is at least partially a reflection of her relationship with the other lead character. Like Yoon Chan-young, she claimed to be charmed by the script, saying she was curious how the core conflict of a romance between a human and a ghost could possibly be resolved.

Kim Min-seok plays an important supporting character, a doctor with a close relationship to the male lead who observes an unsettling incident in the emergency room, which causes him to also become involved in their investigations. Kim Min-seok claims he joined the project on the strength of Yoon Chan-young's endorsement of the script. After meeting with the director, Kim Min-seok wanted to be involved even though the exact role of his character had not yet been finalized.

Director Kang Sol had enigmatic words of recommendation, describing the story as being about what kind of person a soul would want to meet in the end, and what sort of story would be told or emotion discussed in such circumstances. Citing the bleakness of life, Kang Sol suggested that "Delivery Man" was about determing the importance of life after death. "Delivery Man" will begin airing in South Korea domestically and worldwide via Rakuten Viki on March 1st.
