On November 25th, Netflix France announced a tie-in event with "Squid Game - Season 2" that will premiere December 26th on the streaming platform worldwide. On December 1st, 456 competitors will appear at the Champs-Élysées, where a giant Young-hee statue has been set up. As was the case in "Squid Game" itself, the competitors will attempt to reach the statue while not moving when the statue is set up. The 456 competitors are divided into 3 teams, each led by a famous content creator.

Netflix France claims that the game will emphasize teamwork, although the exact rules of this version of the competition were not explicitly explained. An area for spectators will be set up on both sides of the Champs-Élysées itself. Other games involving hopscotch, jumping rope, and rubber bands will also be played in the Champs-Élysées. At the stake is the chance to see an early preview screening of "Squid Game - Season 2" at the Grand Rex on December 10th.
