[HanCinema's News] Ryu Jun-yeol Tops Ranking Pie Chart for South Korean Celebrities
By William Schwartz | Published on
In the Ranking Pie chart for the first week of April, actor Ryu Jun-yeol outperformed all other male South Korean actors for the top position with 31,989 points, a drop from 44,549 points the previous week. At first glance, the news would seem to be positive for the actor. Ryu Jun-yeol has no ongoing projects, but will next appear in "The 8 Show" on Netflix this coming May 17th.

Unfortunately, Ryu Jun-yeol's strong position on social media is almost certainly the result of a feud between his ex-girlfriends Lee Hyeri and Han So-hee. Lee Hyeri, his girlfriend of eight years following "Reply 1988" in 2016, had made cryptic statements on social media following his breakup with his new girlfriend, Han So-hee, only two weeks after an official announcement from their agencies. Han So-hee attacked Lee Hyeri regarding the subtext of these statements, but did not explain why.
Lee Hyeri has refrained from making further such cryptic statements, and Ryu Jun-yeol has not commented on the matter at all. Elsewhere in the Ranking Pie chart, actor Lee Soon-jae earned 15,296 points, most likely thanks to this being the sixty nine years anniversary of the veteran actor's debut. Park Hyuk-won of "Wonderful World" was third place with 14,031 points.
