Recently actor Kim Tae-joon confessed on Instagram to having had a long-term girlfriend- and that he intends to spend the rest of his life with her. According to Ryu Tae-joon the couple have been together for five years. COVID-19 has delayed their wedding until now, and in hopes of a proper one, Ryu Tae-joon stated that he plans to marry her next year. The woman in question is a non-celebrity, and Ryu Tae-joon also requested that her privacy be respected.

She had been mentioned in connection with Ryu Tae-joon in previous rumors, with their allegedly having broken up in 2017 only to reunite again in 2018 over their mutual love of pets. The personal life of Ryu Tae-joon has not been a hot topic in recent years because Ryu Tae-joon himself has largely disappeared from screen appearances. His last credited acting roles were in the situation comedy "Strong Family" and the historical film "The Age of Blood" both released in 2017.
