[HanCinema's News] Script for "Our Beloved Summer" Hits Second Place in South Korean Bestseller List

This past February 16th saw the publication of the full script for the romantic television drama "Our Beloved Summer" which ended on January 25th. Figures released by Kyobo Bookstore on February 25th have now shown the script, which had been released in two volumes, to be a big success, ranking second on their bestseller list. The two volumes led in preorders as soon as they became available for sale on South Korean bookstore websites.

Scriptwriter Lee Na-eun-I is the credited author of the work in question. Crosstab data shows the books to be especially popular among women, with 77.1% of its sales being credited to that demographic. Women in their twenties on their own made up 33.4% of that total, followed by women in their thirties with 20.5%. A representative of Kyobo Bookstore credited the strong performance of the book on syngery with the lead actors of the screen version, Choi Wooshik and Kim Da-mi.
